My name is Ashantè Fray and I am a proud Black bisexual woman who is the owner of Synchronized Souls Inc. I founded my heart-centred business in 2019 after beginning an intentional spiritual journey in 2018. I am no stranger to adversity or trauma as a warrior who lived through sexual abuse, and lives with PTSD.

Although my spiritual journey started in 2018, my journey of self-discovery, self-growth and self-agency started in 2012 when I consciously walked away from old consciousness and ways of beings with hopes of getting synchronized with who I truly am.

EDUCATIONAL & PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND:

I have a Bachelor of Arts in English and French Literature with an Emphasis in Teaching and a Specialization in Quebec Studies from Trent University. Additionally, I continued my pursuit of knowledge by attending Acadia University for a Masters of Arts in English Literature. My thesis was entitled, The Search for Agency in Beloved & The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison. It examined the theory of intersectionality to see how the types of violence, discrimination and oppression the characters were subjected to were a direct result of the intersection of their social identities. In the end, I concluded that it was through acknowledgment and shared living experiences that promote healing and discovery of agency for self. Without knowing it, the seed of my solopreneur journey was being planted.

TURNING POINT:

It was my sense of agency that led me to join Indeed as a Client Success Specialist instead of completing my education. It was around this time that I began learning how to read tarot cards and conduct energy healing. To increase my competence and abilities, I conducted free sessions for over a year to ensure that my readings were accurate, straight from The Source and provided clarity and guidance. Two years after joining Indeed in 2018, I was already promoted to both Senior Client Success Specialist and Team Lead. My successful career prompted me to start my journey as a soulpreneur and Black and queer entrepreneur by opening my own heart-centred business - Synchronized Soul- in 2019. After successfully healing other souls by using divination tools and strategies. I began focusing my attention on Shadow Work, Inner Child Healing, 1:1 Coaching, Business Group Coaching Programs and Digital Products. After successfully creating my own heart-centred business, I found myself at a crossroads.

THE CROSSROAD:

I joined Indeed because I wanted to help people. I was given the opportunity to do so on a global scale when I was promoted to Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging - Education Specialist in 2020, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. My day job included creating and curating content about intersectionality, allyship and empathy. But my heart-centred business was me helping The Collective shift into timelines and spaces grounded in authenticity, empathy, compassion, sovereignty, freedom and love. They were similar but different. I couldn’t possibly continue to give 100% in both my corporate career and my heart-centred business, but - which one would I choose? Would I really walk away from Indeed after three years and three promotions? Was I ready to become a full-time soulpreneur?

MY CHOICE:

After a year of unexpected success, I choose to rebrand from Synchronized Soul to Synchronized Souls Inc. in 2021 to incorporate my growing community on Instagram. I went from having 1,200 followers in July 2020 to 10,000 followers in May 2021. Today, we have a community of 12,200 souls. It was my heart-centred business expansion that lead to my decision of walking away from my corporate career to pursue my calling for healing full-time as a soulpreneur.

My quest for finding a sense of agency morphed into me searching for a deeper understanding of Sovereignty and Personal Freedom through Shadow Work and Inner Child Healing. This was the real call to pursue soulpreneurship - to give me more time to heal, to be and feel free. After successfully helping individual souls and soul clients through Business Group Coaching, I have expanded into Corporate Wellness to aid companies with their wellness programs and the wellbeing of their employees by leveraging my Divine Masculine Energy and years at Indeed.

I alchemize Shadow and Light to synchronize souls to embody Sovereignty & Personal Freedom in all timelines and all spaces. I help companies reduce absenteeism, boost employee morale and improve workplace productivity through education, self-awareness and empathy. Whether it's in a soulpreneur or corporate space, I am creating a culture of empathy, mindfulness, and healing with Synchronized Souls Inc. I am being the change I wish to see in the world like many other Black entrepreneurs in Toronto.

Now you know some of my social identities, my education and my journey to finding my most authentic self, my most joyful self, my Soul. We all have to decide if we are willing to liberate ourselves from our limitations or become a victim of circumstances. What will you choose?
